Education & development

Helping children stay in school, keep up with homework and enjoy learning.

Who it supports

  • School-going children in our care, and younger children preparing for school.

What the programme does

  • Makes sure children are enrolled at school and attend regularly.
  • Provides a quiet time and place for homework, with adult help.
  • Encourages reading for pleasure and play-based learning.
  • Supports school uniform, stationery and other learning needs where possible.

Why it matters

Disruption at home often means disruption at school. Keeping children connected to learning gives them continuity, friendships and a sense of progress — and protects their future options.

Impact

Children in our care are supported to keep going to school and to keep learning, even when life at home has been disrupted. We report on this work in our annual reports.

Programme figures will be published here once they have been verified.
