Help us create a safe future for children
Every gift helps children in Khayelitsha be protected, cared for and supported to grow.
How your donation helps
Your donation can help support the work of Khumbulani Children's Place of Safety. Gifts are used to care for and protect children and to run the programmes described on this website, including:
- day-to-day care: food, clothing, toiletries and a safe, clean environment
- support for children's schooling and development
- the caregivers and staff who look after children
- keeping our building safe, maintained and running
Where donations go
Donations are received by Khumbulani Children's Place of Safety (NGO Registration Number 091-093), a nonprofit organisation in Khayelitsha, Western Cape. Gifts for a specific purpose are used for that purpose. Read how we manage funds on our transparency page, and see our annual reports.
Receipts
We can send you a receipt for your donation. If you need a tax certificate, please ask us and we will tell you what we can provide.
Give online
Secure online donations are being set up. Until then, we would be grateful if you contacted us — we will reply with the safest way to give.
Other ways to give
Bank transfer (EFT)
To give by bank transfer, please ask us for our banking details. We share them directly so that you can be sure they are genuine.
Donate goods
Food, toiletries, clothing, blankets and school supplies are always useful. Please check with us first so we can tell you what is needed most and arrange a drop-off.
Give monthly
Regular gifts help us plan ahead and cover the everyday costs of care. Ask us about monthly giving.
Leave a gift in your will
A gift in your will can help care for children long into the future. Speak to your legal adviser and let us know if you would like to talk it through.
Beware of fraud: we will never ask you to pay into a personal bank account or by gift card. If anything seems wrong, contact us using the details on this page.
