We are at No. FF 127 Town Two, Khayelitsha, 7784, Western Cape, South Africa. To protect the children in our care, please contact us to arrange a visit rather than arriving unannounced.

Who does Khumbulani support?

We support children in Khayelitsha and the surrounding area who need care and protection, and the families and caregivers connected to them.

How can I donate?

You can give through our Donate page. If you would prefer to donate goods or make a bank transfer, please see "Other ways to give" on that page or ask us a question.

How are donations used?

Donations support the work of Khumbulani Children's Place of Safety — the daily care of children and the programmes described on this website. Gifts for a specific purpose are used for that purpose. Our transparency page explains how we manage and report on funds.

Can I get a receipt or tax certificate for my donation?

Yes, we can send you a receipt for your donation. If you need a tax certificate, please ask us and we will tell you what we can provide.

How can I volunteer?

Apply online on our volunteer page. Everyone who will have contact with children completes screening first, which may include a police clearance and a check against the National Child Protection Register.

Can organisations partner with Khumbulani?

Yes. We welcome foundations, businesses, schools, faith communities and community organisations. See become a partner and corporate partnerships.

How can I support the organisation without donating money?

You can volunteer, donate goods, fundraise, tell others about our work or help keep children safe in your own community. See community support for ideas.

Can I visit, or bring a group to visit?

We welcome supporters, but visits must be arranged in advance so that children's routines and privacy are protected. Visitors may not take photographs of children. Please contact us to arrange a visit.

I am worried about a child. What should I do?
